Who am I I'm a late-20 somethings writer who has been RPing for five years; primarily in WoW. You may even recognize Latilda from there! I'm very eager to get into the FFXIV community and make some friends. I work from home as a reporter, so I am typically at home (For now)
I'm open to an assortment of RPs, and would love to plot and plan. Horror. Slice of Life. Adventure. You name it.
I am interested in seeking both a free company and long-term partners for Latilda
Server-wise, I am based in Mateus. That said, I am always eager to make contacts and do things on Discord, as that is my stronger platform and my preference.
I prefer to avoid themes of rape or sexual assault. But otherwise I am more than open to brainstorm and make interesting stories
I will also admit my ignorance as to FFXIV lore. While I am still playing through the game, I may make some stumbles. I would adore any help or correction you might have.
Latilda Rommel was born in Gridania to a fairly normal home; although it was solely her own father raising her. Latilda's mother had passed away years ago after being attacked by what was thought to be a bandit. Originally sent to be a thaumaturge, she discovered that she lacked the skill for any form of aether manipulation. In the process, She found a knack for investigating and discovering things; making her a very nosey individual. Eventually she moved to Ul'dah to make her own life and to join the paper there. As she did, she was introduced to an assortment of corruption and problems, from increased immigration to the Beastmen incursions. As she spent more time in the field, she picked up a few skills.
When the events of Heavensward occurred, Latilda was drawn to Ishgard, where she found herself in the field. She ended up running into a few dragons and picked up a firearm in the process.
During the Ala Mhigo conflict, Latilda ended up discovering that her mother had been an ex-Garlean official, even discovering her mother's old gunblade. Since then, she's leaned more into the role of being an adventurer and researcher, striving to document the stories not yet told on the warfronts touched by the world.
(Player has not finished Shadowbringers or Endwalker yet, so their lore isn't applicable to date)
Reporting Maybe you're a friend or someone who read her work. Latilda is always up to interview others to try and adapt their stories into meaningful copy
Spying Lat typically likes to poke her nose in places she should not. Want to have her hear something you said? Maybe you need her to spy for you?
Volunteering If you ask her to help, she'll help. She's a fairly smart gal, if a bit precocious. But if you want a bodyguard or a test subject, maybe give her a prod
Social life A reporter is nothing without her friends and contacts. Let's click together at a bar, an event or something else!
Lack of Aether Latilda cannot commit magic, but has taken up the art of the rogue, the monk and the machinist over the years. That's made her a fairly useful combatant at times ,but she's always looking to meet others and master her talents as a combatant.
